Cause 1 One situation in which this can occur is when the BlackBerry device is using the BlackBerry Desktop Redirector for email redirection, and the BlackBerry device user′s account has just been added to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. The BlackBerry device user will not be prompted to generate a key. The BlackBerry Enterprise Server status will display(<server_name>) Running. Resolution This is by design. Cause 2 Messaging Application Interface Programming (MAPI) is not communicating with the Microsoft® Exchange Server. Resolution The BlackBerry device user′s account is added to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, but did not use desktop redirector for mail redirection previously. The BlackBerry Enterprise Server status displays (<server_name>) Initializing. The BlackBerry device user is not prompted to generate an encryption key.
