Environment
OverviewWhen you try to send a message from the BlackBerry device, you receive the following error: Transaction error - Decryption failure An X appears beside the sent message on the Messages screen. Note: You can receive messages on the BlackBerry device. CauseThere is an encryption key problem with the BlackBerry Desktop Software. ResolutionUpgrade to BlackBerry Desktop Software 4.0 Service Pack 1 or later, then generate a new encryption key manually three times using BlackBerry Desktop Manager. For instructions on generating a new encryption key, see KB-02740. If generating the encryption keys does not resolve the problem, delete the service books on the BlackBerry device, then generate a new encryption key again.
