Environment
OverviewTo move mailboxes on a Microsoft® Exchange Server®, it is strongly recommended to use the Microsoft Exchange Server or Microsoft® Active Directory® tools. For instructions on the mailbox move procedure, go to support.microsoft.com and search for 821829. If the Microsoft Exchange Server Mailbox Merge Wizard (ExMerge) or any other third-party application is used, the hidden BlackBerry folder in the mailbox may not be moved correctly or may be damaged. When this occurs, the BlackBerry smartphone user will be unable to send or receive email messages. The administrator has the following options:
Note: If a mailbox is moved from one mailbox store to another within the same Microsoft Exchange Server, the BlackBerry smartphone user will not be able to send and receive email messages until the BlackBerry® Enterprise Server is restarted. See article KB00142 for more information on how to move a Microsoft Exchange mailbox. Note: If a mailbox is moved to a different Microsoft Exchange Server, ensure permissions for the BlackBerry® Enterprise Server service account are set at the Microsoft Exchange Server and the mailbox store level.
