  • BlackBerry® Enterprise Server for Microsoft® Exchange
  • BlackBerry smartphone

Overview

When attempting to accept or decline a meeting request on the BlackBerry smartphone, a red x will appears in the message list, indicating that the response was not sent successfully.  The error Unlisted Message Error is displayed within the failed message.

Cause

The meeting request has already been hard deleted within Microsoft Outlook®. Since the original meeting request could not be found, it was not possible to accept or decline it.

The following are some examples of how a request might be hard deleted:

  • The meeting request was deleted, and then emptied from the Deleted Items folder.
  • The meeting request was deleted by a delegate.
  • The meeting request was deleted and Microsoft Outlook was closed while the Empty the Deleted Items folder upon exiting option was selected.

Resolution

Ensure that meeting requests are not hard deleted.
